Salutations,
I created Dauntless American on the advice of
several friends and former colleagues over the years. Although blogging has
always struck me as the death of serious non-fiction writing, it seems that the
time has come to give this communication form a second look.
By viewing and/or subscribing to this blog, you,
the reader, understand and agree to the following points and conditions:
- This blog is composed of my personal thoughts and opinions. I do not represent my thoughts or opinions as “facts”. If you have a differing viewpoint or opinion, I respect that, but this is my tiny sliver of the electronic world to share.
- I have attempted to maintain my writing with journalistic integrity. For this reason, I’ve not stated anything untrue as a “fact”, nor have I chosen to resort to baseless character attacks of private or public individuals. If I said something unkind, it was either because it was true or because it was my opinion on the matter. Where possible, I’ve attempted to differentiate between the two. Since I have taken these steps the reader will interpret nothing written here as libelous.
- Prospective and future employers are strongly discouraged from using the content herein as a litmus test for whether or not to make a hiring decision. Like nearly all American workers, what I do with my private time and equally private thoughts do not enter into my work time, nor do they involve my employer’s business concerns or payroll requirements.
- You have the power! What that means is, if you disagree with something you have the power to skip past it, and even stop visiting this blog if something offends, disagrees, or otherwise doesn’t work for you. If you read something you don’t agree with (and keep reading) that’s on you. I don’t agree with my best friends all the time, but we have the respect necessary for one another to ‘disagree without being disagreeable” (as Lyndon B. Johnson put it).
Thank you for your readership.
